Changelog
Every release ships through here. Newest first.
1.0.86
July 15, 2026
Mac app
- Check-ins pause the clock: your session timer freezes during a 15-minute check-in and the time is added back — a 4-hour focus is 4 hours of blocked time. The app says "CHECK-IN — APPS ARE BACK" instead of pretending it's retrying.
- If a flip can't go through, the app now tells you exactly why and what to do — including when you're signed in with a different email than you paid with.
- Settings shows your subscription — plan, renewal date, and one-click billing management.
- Sign-in reminds you to use your checkout email, and setup says up front it takes about 5 minutes.
1.0.83
July 10, 2026
Mac app
- The update pill now reads "GETTING…" while an update downloads and flips to "UPDATE" when one click will install it — no more clicks that seem to do nothing.
1.0.82
July 10, 2026
Mac app
- The menu bar lock now stays when you quit Flipped — status and FLIP are always one glance away, no app open. Option-click Quit to exit completely.
- Flipped opens with your Mac, so the lock is back after every restart.
- A quieter update pill, and Privacy & Terms are now linked inside Settings.
1.0.81
July 8, 2026
Mac app
- Schedule times are now a clean dropdown — pick a time in one click instead of editing fiddly time fields.
- Your session card and profiles say what's blocked ("Socials + Entertainment") instead of counting apps.
- The removal screen always has a way back while your phone is flipped.
1.0.80
July 8, 2026
Mac app
- The setup pre-flight now shows exactly what happens to Stolen Device Protection and Find My — off for setup, back on right after, with a one-line why for each.
1.0.79
June 26, 2026
Mac app
- Removal is now locked while your phone is flipped — Flipped can't be pulled off mid-commitment, by you or anyone else.
- Delete custom block-list profiles you no longer use. Presets stay protected.
1.0.78
June 19, 2026
Mac app
- More reliable setup: a transient supervision hiccup now retries automatically instead of failing, and the real error is shown if it doesn't.
- Setup won't report "done" until your iPhone is truly enrolled — no more surprise on the first flip.
- Always-on blocklist floor: your most-distracting apps stay blocked on every profile and can't be stripped out.
1.0.12 – 1.0.77
May – June 2026
Under the hood
- New native enrollment engine built on Apple's device-management framework — faster, steadier setup with no bundled command-line tools.
- Factory reset is now blocked while you're flipped, closing the last escape hatch.
- The menu bar respects your commitment: a committed session can't be unflipped from it.
- One-click updates: a gentle prompt appears in the sidebar — one click installs and relaunches.
- Clearer setup errors, faster device detection, and a steady run of reliability fixes to the flip / unflip cycle.
1.0.11
May 3, 2026
Mac app
- Sidebar device row is live: countdown of remaining session time, "Online · idle" when free, "Not signed in" when needed.
- Schedules tab leads with a "Next 7 days" preview strip — every scheduled flip across the upcoming week visible at a glance.
- End-of-session push notification: "Welcome back — your phone is free" fires from both local-timer expiry and server-poll detection.
- Real stats wiring: today / week / total flipped seconds all read from the sessions table; no more "week / 7" approximation.

Settings → Get Help
- "Copy Diagnostics" button puts a structured snapshot (version, device, active session, last error) on the clipboard. No password / token in the blob.
- "Send Feedback" textarea — backend logs at WARNING (Sentry-captured) and writes a
user.feedback event so the admin timeline shows full context.
Settings → Danger
- "Export My Data" downloads a JSON of every row tied to your account (GDPR Article 20).
- "Delete Account" cascades the delete server-side, revokes license keys, removes MDM enrollment (GDPR Article 17).
1.0.9
May 3, 2026
Profiles
- Sync iPhone button in the Profiles header + auto-sync on app launch and tab open (5-min debounce). Picker stays fresh without you remembering to tap it.
- Edit button on every profile. Editing a preset (Simple / Deep Work / Nomad) auto-clones to a custom — originals untouched as a factory reference.
1.0.8

Onboarding hardening
- "DURING SETUP" yellow callout on the Rules card sets the partial-setup expectation BEFORE the destructive flow runs.
- "Start Installation" gate before the backup/restore phase. No more surprise iPhone reboots.
- "Pro tip" on the Done screen: put apps in one folder so flip/unflip cycles don't shuffle the home screen.
- Active session card shows the actual blocked-apps list (tap "N apps hidden ▼").
Settings → Always Allow
- Add bundle IDs that survive every flip — fixes web-clip PWAs (Pulse, etc.) that aren't in iOS's app list.
Build pipeline
- otool guard refuses to ship if any bundled binary references absolute Homebrew paths — auto-prevents the dyld regression that broke the first friend test.
1.0.7
May 1, 2026
Account flow
- License-redeem fast-path: if the backend already has a supervised device for your account, the Mac app skips the entire setup flow and drops you straight into the main app.
1.0.6
May 1, 2026
Simple profile
- Expanded from 13 → 25 bundles: now blocks YouTube + YouTube TV + YouTube Studio, Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max, Twitch, Peacock, Prime Video, Paramount+ on top of the social media list. Discord, banking, productivity, music all stay.
- Sidebar shows the iPhone's actual DeviceName ("Kyle's iPhone") instead of a placeholder.
1.0.5
May 1, 2026
- Onboarding step 6 now explicitly walks through the iOS "Continue with Partial Setup" prompt before Trust + Enroll.
1.0.2 — 1.0.4
May 1, 2026
Critical packaging fix
- Bundled libimobiledevice tools rewritten with
install_name_tool to use @loader_path/... relative paths and properly Developer-ID-signed. Earlier builds dyld-failed on every Mac that wasn't the build machine — broke the first friend test entirely.
- Preflight checkboxes are now full tap targets (the 18×18 Button was too tight to hit reliably).
1.0.0 — 1.0.1
April 30, 2026
- Initial public-beta build with always-manual Home FLIP semantic and the redesigned Profiles + Modes tabs.
